Background
Derek is a Managing Partner at Travel Tech Managed IT Services, bringing over 20 years of experience in the IT industry. He began his career in 2006 in the United States Marine Corps, serving as a 0656 Tactical Data Network Specialist. After five years of honorable service, Derek transitioned to the private sector in 2011, joining RAM Networks.
By 2016, he had acquired RAM Networks, successfully operating the business while simultaneously serving as a Network Engineer at the Von Braun Center from 2014 to 2024. In 2022, Derek partnered with Ben to merge RAM Networks with Travel Tech Residential IT, forming what is now Travel Tech Managed IT Services. He joined the company full-time in 2024.
Derek holds a degree in Network Management along with multiple industry-recognized certifications, combining formal education with extensive hands-on experience gained through both military service and a long-standing career in IT.
